Indications
- Hand clumsiness, dropping objects, fine motor difficulty
- Gait imbalance or stiffness in legs
- MRI showing cervical cord compression/myelomalacia
- Progressive neurological decline

- Suitable for anterior (ACDF/ACCF) or posterior decompression/fusion
- Medically fit for cervical spine surgery
Method
- Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for disc/osteophyte disease
- Posterior laminectomy/laminoplasty for multilevel stenosis
- Fusion or instrumentation when instability is present
